Mt. Kenya Safaris

Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa ,. Where it was originally referred to as "Mt. Kirinyaga" by the indigenous people who dwelled around the mountain region i.e. the Embu , Meru and Kikuyu tribes where they referred Mt. Kenya as the home of their Traditional God " Ngai" and the location of their creation mythology.

Its therefore treated with respect and reverence by the visitor who visit u the mountain each year . they referred the mountain as "Kirinyaga or Kerenyaga, meaning 'mountain of whiteness' because of its snow capped peaks "; The name was subsequently changed to Mt. Kenya because of the inability of the British to pronounce "Kirinyaga" correctly.

Mt. Kenya has been inscribed as a world Heritage site for '' one of the most impressive lands capes of East Africa with its rugged glacier-clad summits , afro alpine moorlands and diverse forests which illustrates outstanding ecological processes .
