Aberdares - 5 Days:Salient/ Nakuru

DAY 1: Depart in the morning from Nairobi heading to Nyeri. Lunch will be waiting at the Out span Hotel which is surrounded by lush beautiful gardens. The atmosphere takes you back to Kenya's reach colonial history. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Treetops where you will be watching game from the trace and remember the time Queen Elizabeth was declared the new Queen of Britain.

DAY 2: After an early morning tea, the game drives in the Salient take you for a bush breakfast, at the starting point of your thrilling adventure. An exclusive guided walk along the waterfalls with a wide range of game all around you will be a unique experience. There is a possibility of some times encountering Lions, Buffaloes and Elephants kon foot, just to mention but a few. The night will be spent at a fly camp at the fisherman's Campsite

DAY 3: Your walk continues, this time ascending the Aberdares highest peak (The Oldonyo la Satima 4001m) where you will capture a magnificent view of the snow capped Mt. Kenya peaks- the second highest in Africa on clear days. After conquering the peak descend to the road head for a hot cup of tea with snacks before you get your well deserved dinner at the Camp.

DAY 4: About 9.00am you leave the camp, to the Naivasha Country Club where you arrive for a late lunch. The afternoon can be spent on the swimming pool or on the Lake Naivasha on an optional boat ride. The very active ones can optionally also visit Hell's Gate and walk through a Canyon with magnificent rock formation and Hot Springs.

DAY 5: Today finish your program with a visit to Lake Nakuru National Park where a stunning scene at the lake tingles your excitement. Hundreds of thousands of flamingoes are seen feeding along the Lakeshore with flocks of Pelican's cormorants and stilts. The scenery draws your attention away from anything else that could be around just to marvel at the beauty of these birds. The dense forest also harbours Rhinos, Buffaloes, Baboons and plenty of plain game. If you are lucky you may even find Lions on the trees. Lunch will be taken in the park before you finally return through the rich Rift Valley viewpoints to Nairobi.
